Green Thumbs Group
120 Emperor Drive
We do not pretend to know all the answers but we are all passionate gardeners and are looking for other like-minded people to join our group and let us find answers to problems and learn together.
Meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. We will visit gardens as often as possible and questions to problems can be raised before afternoon tea. Share your garden problems, experiences and knowledge with us.
U3A Green Thumbs Garden Group
We met at the Gordon White Library at 1.30pm on the 10 march to pool cars. Twenty-two members attended.
It was a very informative afternoon within big gardens and bush houses. There were a large variety of plants with some for sale.
Matt gave a talk on potting desert Roses and Bromeliads whilst Phyllis’ talk was on potting Orchids, fertiliser and bugs. The group thanked them for their hospitality with a small gift and card.
On Wednesday 14 April we will meet at Patsy Crawford’s residence at 120, Emperor Drive Andergrove at 1.30pm. Patsy and her husband, PJ have lovely gardens which reflect the time and enjoyment they put in. Please bring a chair, cup and something to share for afternoon tea.
The May meet will be at the residence of Les Brown in Sarina where we can enjoy his wonderful succulents.
