If you have green thumbs or want to have green thumbs or want to know what to plant and when, then join our merry Garden Group.
We meet once a month, the 2nd Wednesday at 2.00 pm at 60 Wellington Street. We often have a guest speaker who instructs us about a particular subject, eg. the head gardener from the Orchid House. Please bring your afternoon tea with you and a gold coin donation for the use of the venue. Sometimes we do not meet at Wellington Street as we visit private gardens, where we learn a lot.
I do hope that our members have been enjoying their gardens. I loved the lovely rain a couple of weeks ago – always helps with watering. The last get together was our lunch where 22 members enjoyed themselves. Next month will be at Roberts Ranch out Habana way at 2pm . We will meet at the Gordon White Library at 1.30pm to carpool. Ron McLean will be our guide on the day.
It’s with sadness that we must say goodbye to Ron’s mother, Ruth McLean, who passed away on Saturday 16/09/2018. Ruth was a long-time member of our lovely Garden Group. Our thoughts are sent with love to Ron and Bessie and families.
Hope to catch up at the next meeting on 10th October at 1.30pm at the Gordon White Library.
